What a fun year we had this year! It came and went very fast as I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital with an infection in my stomach and was as sick as I ever remember being! It took a long time to get back on my feet so as a result, gift giving was at the bottom of our list and thank heavens for my sweet girls, they didn't care. They know finances are limited and my strength was also limited so we focused on a lot of reading of all the old Christmas stories and the things that really matter. Kelsey found the book that Nana gave us a lot of years ago that was a story a night starting December 1st and she was in charge of reading that until the final night we past it around on Christmas Eve and all of us read the stories and the scriptures of Christ's birth. It was a special night. Prior to that we had gone to Temple Square to see the lights and then went to Rick's house to enjoy hot cocoa bar. Which intelled hot cocoa and many different choices to add to it, ie. peppermint, choc chips, whip cream etc.
We ended our night at his house, with a video on Christ and his birth and a testimony from Rick and then we all knelt in family prayer and off to our own houses where we, ourselves, ended the evening like I explained above. I have included some photos of the evening. It was wonderful.
