Dad and Kathy in England

A lot has happened since I last got on my blog and updated everyone! Well that needs to change but how do I put the past 8 or so months in to a few short paragraphs. We started out the year of 2011 with my Dad and Grma Kathy accepting a church calling to go to Preston, England. My Dad was asked to serve as the MTC President of the Preston, England MTC. They left the 11th of January, 2011 and are REALLY enjoying there mission. As expected, they have made changes to try to make things better. One of the changes they made was they decided it was high time that the mission President and wife go out on trackings with the missionaries. This has been a new experience since Dad hasn't tracked since he was a 19 year old missionary in the Eastern States Mission. They have really enjoyed it. Meet a lot of potential people and given out quite a few Books of Mormon. I can not wait until we go to visit and are able to go out on these trackings with the new missionaries.
The MTC and Temple was closed for cleaning for 2 weeks which gave Dad and Kathy time to travel. They were able to go to Spain where Kathy's brother is serving as the President of that mission. They were asked to speak, as usual, but really enjoyed what they saw and were able to do. They also went to Castles and Landmarks throughout London, Paris and other towns and cities. They are real good to send us postcards from all the neat places the are able to visit. Its great. We are making a wall of it and who knows how many cards we'll have by the time their mission ends. We love them and miss them so much put truly are try to figure out how we are going to be able to go but I am making deposits into a travel savings account dad started for our Alaskan Cruise. I've just kept donating and donating a lot more hoping it will help when it comes time to go to England. I don't know how we cant go. We must go. Free boarding once we are there. We just need to pay our plan tickets and all should go well from there. I'll try to down load some pictures from their blogspot and attach to ours if possible. (there's is Postcards from Preston). I'm really proud to be his daughters. He sets goals and he and mom and now Kathy, always accomplish them!
