What a weekend we had! While I was at Youth Conference, I received a phone call explaining that my cousin Jeana (who lives in Alaska) had just received word that there was a perfect match for her and that she would need to fly quickly to SLC and have surgery to receive a new kidney!! She has been on the waiting list for 4 years! Unimaginable to most people, including me! Dialysis constantly just to keep her going! Well, dialysis is not on her schedule anymore! She received the kidney and is doing remarkable! What a blessing from our Heavenly Father!
Because the surgery took place here in SLC, I have been so blessed to be able to spend time with her since she came out of recovery. I just returned home from another visit tonight and she looks amazing! She is so positive and so happy! She is currently in ICU but I am sure that won't be for long! She has many plans for the future (Like finally being able to travel to New Zealand-where her husband Garth served a mission. Something that would not have been possible before due to her need for dialysis). Never take things for granted! We are so blessed and I feel incredibly thankful that she is doing so well only
