What a great and memorable day we had on May 16th. We had pre-planned with Julie (Boye') a sister to the girls and me... (although now they say I am the Grandma but that doesn't sit well with me!... I said I was too young. Yea right?! So I guess I am Grandma to Adanna and baby Zander). We have had a very special relationship with Adanna, her first daughter... loved her like she was our own and now a new baby brothers come into the picture. You can't ever imagine you'll love them as much since we adore Adanna... but boy do we ever! Aleigh and Kelsey are going in to OB field in one way or another, but for some reason after Julie had been texting me for a while asking for advice as she was moving closer and closer to having him, I decided I wanted to be there too so I went! And boy was I glad that I did!! She was already an 8 when she got to the hospital and so she had no choice but to do a natural childbirth (she was too late to the hospital and too late for an epidural.) So the girls and I kicked into action. The nurses Assigned us jobs to help get the little guy here because he was coming right then whether the doctor showed up or not! Luckily she did at the last minute! Alex would be free to watch the birth because we were staying busy helping. It was truly such a spiritual experience! A beautiful experience! It was a MIRACLE!! It just confirmed to me that God loves us and one of the ways he shows us is by sending us these sweet little people to teach and love us! Gods speed to Julie and Alex (and Adanna). Baby Zander is Beautiful and we love him infinitely!!
The fun of a house full of teenagers... some actually live here, others ....come to eat!
